She got her PhD on Business Administration at Universidad de Oviedo (2000). Her dissertation "El valor de la marca en la estrategia de marketing, Propuesta de una metodología de valoración desde la óptica del consumidor" was prized in 2001 with Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado 1999/2000 de la Universidad de Oviedo.
Teaching from 1994, her teaching and researching included the following areas: Strategic Brand Management, Service Failures and Recovering Strategies, Marketing of Agricultural Products as well as Commercial Communications.
Results of her research have been published in national and international journals and she participated in both national and international conferences. She collaborated with different public and private entities and has taught courses, seminars and posgraduate Master programs.
